De Sailly Consulting is undertaking independent research to investigate the selection of candidates for academic leadership positions. this research is urgently required to guide an evidence-based process for finding new people for these key roles. The higher education sector is under pressure, not only from market factors but internally: from the impending retirement of the majority of people in leadership. Our research allows us to recommend how to better align selection with the empirical evidence available, to identify leadership capability.
