Search for an Executive Dean, Faculty of Science at Charles Sturt University

CSU is ‘a university of the land and people of its regions’. Around half of CSU students are from rural and regional locations. Australia’s largest regional university, CSU is also the country’s leading provider of distance education.

The Faculty of Science is home to eight Schools, the Three Rivers University Department of Rural Health and a range of business enterprises (The Equine Centre, Environmental and Analytical Laboratories, CSU Veterinary Services, CSU Oral & Dental Health Clinics and the Fred Morley Centre which assists the rural livestock industries).

The Executive Dean will help establish the recently announced Joint Medical Program.

Members of the 500-strong Faculty community include world-leading researchers in the fields of ecology, sustainable agriculture and natural resource management. Faculty disciplines include agricultural and wine sciences, animal and veterinary sciences, biomedical sciences, community health, dentistry and health sciences, environmental science, exercise and sport science, nursing, midwifery and Indigenous health.

The right candidate is an experienced academic leader who brings energy yet is grounded and passionate to help CSU achieve its strategy, mission and values.

The role is based at Wagga Wagga with extensive travel to Faculty locations spread across New South Wales.
